AFFIRMATION...
Lesson/reminder for the week comes from the Netflix show Emily in Paris. Have you watched it yet?!
Here are the three unexpected lessons I picked up on while watching the show (and, of course, had to share with you too):
1. There is more to life than work.
2. Build a life you don't want to escape from (but also know there will be ups and downs along the way).
3. Step out of your comfort zone and take some risks -- you never know where that may lead you!
So I had this vision on my heart for a while.
I didn't think it was possible.
I doubted my capabilities. (Hellooo imposter syndrome and over thinking!)
Then 2017 hit.
It was a rough year for my family and I.
It also helped me realize that the idea and vision I was ignoring was no longer something I could to sit on.
I needed to create this. I couldn't ignore that "something is missing" feeling.
So I started and took one a small step.
Then another.
And another. And another.
The past few years have taught me that time is way more previous than we realize.
I also learned I am way more capable and stronger than I realized.
And SO ARE YOU.
Part of this vision was bringing Designed Life Studio to life. Going on three years and this vision has official become a reality.
I shared some of my story in the this week's vlog.
Please know it is not to late for you to start on your goals too.
Give yourself permission to be a beginner again, find joy in the journey and LIVE your life.
...Have you found yourself saying "I'll be happy when..."?
Maybe waiting for the next big thing? I can say I've definitely said this before (on more than one occasion).
Take a listen to this week's vlog if you find yourself wishing and waiting for the next goal, achievement, person, or thing to come.
Don't let perfection hold you back from going after your goals.
My love, it's called a rough draft for a reason.
Give yourself permission to grow and learn as you go.
Journal Prompts on this Topic:
What am I telling myself needs to be "perfect" before I can get started?
What is one thing, one messy step, I can take to move my goal forward?
What do I look forward to learning during this process?
Put your blinders on, this is YOUR path. It's so easy to want to look around and compare. Put those blinders on and trust that this is the right path for you at this moment in time.
